Welcome from Tina Williams, Senior Partner

Fox Williams is an independent business law firm, based in the City of London.  We aim to provide legal services to the high professional standards for which solicitors in the City of London are known.  In the areas in which we have chosen to specialize, we compete against much larger law firms.

The pages of our website demonstrate aspects of our particular approach.  You will find biographies of lawyers who have chosen to make their careers with Fox Williams.  Our fresh and innovative approach to the practice of law is demonstrated by features about recent changes in the law, successes we have achieved for our clients and current initiatives being taken by members of the Fox Williams’ team.

Hrlaw is an on-line inter-active email information service provided each fortnight provided by the employment law team at Fox Williams.  It is aimed at HR professionals, in-house lawyers and other senior executives responsible for HR issues.  Visit www.hrlaw.co.uk.

Our Fashion Law Group has extensive industry knowledge.  Members of the group have specialist expertise relating to distributorship, agency and supply agreements.  We know how to read and draft conditions of sale.  We advise clients on concessions and franchise agreements and have recently produced a 'Fashionable Ethics' guide for clients within the fashion industry.  For more information, visit www.fashionlaw.co.uk.

Fox Williams has a pre-eminent position for partnership work.  Our partnership law group has advised numerous professional firms on the implications of converting to limited liability partnership structure.  We have excellent credentials in advising international law firms on the establishment and development of their London offices. Following the arrival of the new age discrimination legislation on 1 October 2006, we have advised numerous firms on the provisions of their partnership agreements and procedures in this area. Working with the Financial Times newspaper, we conducted an in-depth survey of senior/managing partners of the top 100 UK law firms to ascertain their view on how they propose to implement the regulations within their firms. To find out more about this research, entitled 'Age Matters', please contact us.

Finally, our practical experience in negotiating skills often help clients to avoid litigation.  Where there is no alternative, we represent clients in courts and tribunals.  Our team includes lawyers trained in advocacy and mediation.  Fox Williams has launched red™ to help employers resolve employment disputes through mediation.
