We have introduced a competency framework based on four key areas of professional competence called “the Skills Standards”. The Skills Standard seek to clarify and communicate the skills and behaviours we value as a firm; this applies to everyone. Our thorough development review process complements this approach and ensures that you get the opportunity to discuss and agree your development needs on a regular basis.
Although our standard interview process is based on our Skills Standards, you will also typically have the opportunity to meet with members of your future team and chat informally over coffee or a drink.
We already have a structured, firm-wide training programme covering key legislative changes, as well as tailored programmes to support individuals in line with the skills standards. Regular general interest seminars are held by internal and external speakers through a variety of training media.
This approach ensures our learning and development is not only aligned to our business objectives, but will enable you to see how training will support your individual development as your career progresses with us.
Getting down to business
In your day-to-day work, you can expect to have huge amounts of direct contact with clients from the outset. We positively encourage you to develop strong client relationships through networking opportunities and utilising the skills practiced in our learning and development programme.
