We are pleased to announce the arrival of Tom Morton, a property litigation specialist, who joined the Real Estate team this month. This appointment ensures that we are able seamlessly to meet all of our clients’ property needs within one close-knit group. Working within Phillip Hope’s growing team, Tom’s appointment means that we now offer our clients additional expertise in the complex and often stressful arena of disputes concerning property.

Tom has over 10 years’ experience acting for investors, developers, financial institutions, public sector clients and high net worth individuals, dealing with all aspects of real estate litigation and dispute resolution. His experience extends to both commercial and residential properties across a number of sectors, and includes all forms of landlord and tenant disputes, 1954 Act lease renewals, dilapidations, rent review, possession claims, tenant insolvency, and also advisory work in relation to all aspects of pure property law. Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2005, he has dealt with numerous property disputes in the High Court and County Courts, and also has particular experience acting for local authorities.

Prior to joining Fox Williams, Tom worked for a number of years at Mishcon de Reya, and more recently, Fieldfisher – both firms being highly ranked in the legal directories for property litigation. He graduated in 2001 from Cambridge University.

Should you need assistance with any contentious matter concerning real estate, please do not hesitate to contact Tom (tmorton@foxwilliams.com) or any other member of the team and we will be delighted to help.
