Fox Williams boosts Capital Markets practice
April 10, 2017
City firm Fox Williams LLP has appointed Guy Morgan as a new partner in the Capital Markets group. Guy’s focus on equity capital markets transactions, takeovers and other UK Takeover Code transactions complements the firm’s existing corporate team, which works with Main Market and AIM-listed companies as well as privately owned businesses, particularly in the technology and digital media, fintech, financial services and natural resources sectors.
Guy joins from Stephenson Harwood in London. His experience includes advising listed and unlisted companies and institutions on a range of domestic and cross-border corporate finance transactions, including public M&A, initial public offers (IPOs) and public equity fundraisings. He also advises on private M&A, joint ventures, buyouts and corporate restructurings.
Guy's clients include AIM and main market listed companies, private companies, as well as investment banks and financial advisers in their capacity as sponsors, nomads and brokers to listed companies.
Commenting on Guy’s appointment, Richie Clark, head of Fox Williams’ Corporate group, said: “The addition of Guy to our team strengthens and deepens our ability to work with clients and advisers both on equity capital markets, public takeovers and other corporate transactions, including shareholder activism, a specialist area on which we are increasingly being instructed.”
Guy Morgan said: “Fox Williams’ Capital Markets group has a strong reputation for mid-market transactions, many of which have an international dimension. I am delighted to be joining this agile and well-established team and to working on a range of business critical transactions.”
Fox Williams senior partner Paul Osborne said: “Guy joins us this year following the appointment of David Butler as partner in our dispute resolution group in January. This new appointment enhances our capability in this business critical area and represents another ambitious step in our growth strategy.”
