FW acted for Lallemand Bio S.L on its purchase of a Portuguese yeast manufacturing plant and distribution business and a Spanish yeast distribution business from AB Mauri Spanish Holdings S.L in a deal worth €23,000,000.
Lallemand Bio S.L is the Spanish subsidiary of Canadian yeast manufacturer and supplier Lallemand Inc. Lallemand is one of the leading suppliers of both bakers and brewer’s yeast to markets in North America, Europe and Southern Africa and is involved in the development of a wide range of yeast-related products. It is keen to expand further into European markets and the purchase will enable it to establish a presence in the Iberian peninsula.
