FW acts for Senetas Corp Ltd on acquisition of Focus Europe Ltd

FW advised Senetas Corporation Limited, an information security and business consulting company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, on the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Focus Europe Limited, a UK based encryption solutions business. The acquisition will allow Senetas to grow its share of the high speed network encryption market in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Focus Europe Limited established itself as a specialised supplier of leading edge communication and IT security products providing solutions to businesses and institutions. The company built a customer base including government, finance and law enforcement agencies.
The acquired company will be known as Senetas Europe Limited and will benefit from the extensive technical experience and industry knowledge of three key former Focus employees who will lead the European sales effort.
John DuBois, Senetas Corporation Limited CEO, commented: "This is a significant move for Senetas to have direct representation in the largest single market, apart from the USA, for our Layer 2 encryption products".
"Having this permanent presence in the UK enables us to seek further security accreditations for our encryption hardware. Such approvals will be vital additions to our FIPS and Common Criteria certifications and key to our success in UK and EU government and defence sales".
