Tax rules both at national and international level are becoming increasingly complex. The need for expert tax advice has never been greater in both domestic and cross-border commercial and corporate transactions. Our tax team provides strategic tax advice early on in the transactional process to ensure that efficient tax structures are in place and liabilities are minimised.

Clients regularly seek our advice on M&A tax planning (UK and cross-border), private equity transactions, public listings and offerings, domestic & international corporate reorganisations and restructurings, inbound and outbound corporate expansions and investments, real estate transactions and associated VAT issues. The team also has experience in relation to property and other financings, tax structured financial products and tax litigation and disputes work.  

Our expertise also extends to other business related tax matters, such as employee taxation.  We also specialise in employee share schemes (both approved and unapproved) and management incentive arrangements (including in the context of carried interest structures) and work closely with our partnerships practice advising on tax issues arising in the context of partnerships and LLP’s.
