We work closely with asset managers to assist with both long and short-term strategy, including advising on the structuring lettings and legal considerations around development projects. We also liaise on a day to day basis with property management teams in dealing with matters such as tenant consent applications, lease renewals, disputes and service charge issues.

  • Advised on the acquisition of a portfolio of storage space lettings with associated finance and restructuring of leasehold interests as part of a corporate acquisition.

  • Advised on the restructure of letting of Central London office space to achieve the client’s requirements relating to long term development prospects, including Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 considerations.

  • Acted for a landlord client on the strategically vital acquisition of long leasehold interest in order to help facilitate their wider long-term development plans for the wider building.

  • Advised a large property investment company on its acquisition of a new office site in South Wales, subject to numerous occupational leases.

  • Advised a landlord client in relation to the re-structure of occupation of Central London retail premises in connection with the administration of the tenant – providing strategic advice in relation to the landlord’s legal position, including insolvency considerations and the legislation concerning the involvement of parent company guarantees.

  • Advised a landlord client in relation to the grant of a new flexible lease of West End retail space at a rental level reflective of the current retail property market. This assisted the client with long term commercial strategy for its retail properties in the area and mitigated its rates liability.

  • Acted for a property investment company on the acquisition of a multi let shopping centre and a multi let office park respectively.
