As part of our ongoing diversity and inclusion initiative the upReach mentors at Fox Williams have continued, despite lockdown, to mentor their undergraduate student mentees. Although face to face mentoring sessions have been replaced by virtual ones, we are delighted that our mentors have been able to provide some much needed guidance during these challenging and uncertain times. Our mentors have set aside time to actively provide support and guidance to the students which has included, providing first-hand insight into how a law firm operates, interview practice via video calls, reviewing CVs, training contract applications and more.

We are so pleased to have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from all our mentees, with one mentee commenting: “My mentor has made it clear to me that he is always open to hear from me. This has been extremely helpful for a range of different things and I am extremely grateful for his feedback and guidance.” Another said “I believe having a Fox Williams mentor has not only provided me with insight into a career at a top commercial law firm, it has been an opportunity to network and develop fundamental employability skills.”

Thank you to our mentors who have dedicated their time to supporting the mentees: Anjali AravindhanAron Pope, Bethany Silkin, Bhavin Bhatt, Daisy Jones, Jacqui Watson,  Jessica Ambrose, Norajane Egbulefu, Nicole Wong, Phyllis Acheampong, Rebecca Evans, Rebecca Facey and Scott Hilton.
