If last year was hard for businesses, this year is proving harder. Unsurprisingly we have seen an upturn in principals and agents looking for a way out in anticipation that things may not be getting better.

As such, this year our seminar tackles certain key issues after the agency relationship has ended. In addition we welcome Fergus Randolph QC who is acknowledged as the leading barrister in dealing with cross-border agency disputes. Finally we turn to agency’s first cousin distributorship agreements and what can be done to performance manage distributors

Our panel of experts will address:

  • Indemnity v. compensation: What are the myths? What are the differences? How is indemnity to be assessed and can it be reduced?
  • Resolving agency dispute: Why, when, and how? The lowdown on the why, when and how to settle for both principals and aget
  • Overseas agents and principals: How the Commercial Agents Regulations and EU Directive can surprise you
  • Performance managing distributors: How to deal with underachieving distributors and what they can do to hit back
