Former PricewaterhouseCoopers Partner, Colin Tenner is suing the firm for 15 years’ loss of earnings and compensation as a result of his removal from the partnership whilst on sick leave due to work-related stress in February 2010. The firm claims that he was made redundant, but Mr Tenner’s claim is for disability discrimination. He believes that redundancy was not the real reason for his removal from the partnership.

The case has been attracting media headlines across England and Northern Ireland with leading publications and websites including The Times, Personnel Today, Management Today, The Irish Times, The Belfast Telegraph and the BBC following his legal battle with PwC and reporting to their readers as the case progresses.

Judgement in the case is expected in the Autumn. The case raises a number of important issues relating to the treatment of partners in professional services firms.

Mr Tenner is being represented by Jane Mann (Partner) and Rebecca Davidson (Senior Associate) at Fox Williams and Dan Stilitz QC
