Immigration Paralegal
I am a paralegal in the Fox Williams business immigration department, helping to provide varying types of immigration services to clients, working directly with a partner and two senior associates within the team.”
Aliza is responsible for supporting the business immigration team within the wider employment team at Fox Williams. Her key tasks include:
- Preparing and submitting in-country and overseas applications, booking appointments for biometric attendance and drafting key application forms;
- Preparing tailored Appendix A document lists for sponsor licensing, undertaking research into client commercial profile and corporate structure;
- Assisting in assignment of CoS, identifying potential problems and making required requests (i.e undefined CoS allocation increase & Defined CoS applications); and
- Taking on and assisting with legal research into primary and secondary sources of law, UKVI guidance and practice, case law and processes as required.
Aliza recently completed her PgDL with Masters at the University of Law with Distinction, achieving a high distinction in her dissertation on ESG implementation within private equity houses. She previously worked part-time as an immigration paralegal at a private nationality and immigration law firm in London for 2 years.
She completed her undergraduate degree in Politics & International Relations from Queen Mary University of London, where she was also editor of the university’s student magazine PEACH. Whilst also at Queen Mary, Aliza was an active member of the QMUN society, chairing ECOSOC at the annual QMUN conference.
