Anisha joined Fox Williams LLP in July 2020 and is a senior associate specialising in commercial dispute resolution with a focus on securities litigation and group actions. Anisha also has a specific interest in issues relating to corporate accountability and investor stewardship.
Anisha is a member of the securities litigation team which is currently building two further securities litigation claims for institutional investors (both have an ESG focus), with two further cases in the pipeline.
Anisha has experience in banking and finance litigation and international arbitration and has worked in-house at an engineering company based in Paris, and Network Rail. She has acted for both claimants and defendants across the financial services, technology and energy and natural resources sectors.
Anisha trained and qualified at Clifford Chance LLP, London. Anisha speaks both French and Spanish (intermediate level).

Advising 200+ institutional shareholders seeking compensation via a securities litigation against Glencore PLC.
Advising an investor in an ICSID arbitration against Hungary under the Energy Charter Treaty.
Advising on unfair prejudice petitions under s.994 of the Companies Act 2006.
Advised 234 institutional shareholders seeking +£1b in compensation via a securities litigation group action against Tesco PLC. Proceedings were commenced in September 2020 (just before limitation expired) and have successfully settled (as announced by Tesco in its half year results in October 2021).
Collaborated with a US class action firm to build a claimant group for proceedings against Daimler AG, Mercedes-Benz Cars UK Limited, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services UK Limited and others. As at the date Fox Williams ceased to be involved, more than 25,000 names had registered on the dedicated website. The claims related to the “Dieselgate” scandal involving Daimler and several other car manufacturers, and followed the US law firm’s settlement of its civil class action proceedings in 2020 for US$700m.
Advised a Government client on its challenge to an arbitral award before the English courts on the grounds of ss.67, 68 and 69 of the Arbitration Act 1996.
Advised an investor in an ICSID arbitration against Italy under the Energy Charter Treaty.
Advised a Government-owned body in an arbitration against a rail operator regarding the maintenance and repair of railway tracks within a particular region of the UK.
Advised on a franchise dispute between a well-known car rental company and one of its franchisees.
Advised the claimant in Wani LLP v Royal Bank of Scotland [2015] EWHC 1181(Ch) in an application for “late” amendments to its statements of case.
Advised the defendant in Lakatamia Shipping Company et al v Nobu Su et al [2014] EWHC 3611 (Comm) regarding a dispute involving the sale and repurchase of shipping derivatives.
