I am a Legal Director in Fox Williams’ Intellectual Property team where I advise across the full spectrum of IP rights on both contentious and commercial matters. I have particular experience and expertise in complex, cross-border IP litigation, especially in relation to copyright and patent disputes.”

David has more than 15 years of experience advising clients across the full range of intellectual property rights, including patents, copyrights, designs, and trademarks, and multiple sectors, including media, technology, fashion, and pharmaceuticals. David is particularly well-regarded for his work managing complex IP litigation and has taken cases to the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal in the UK, as well as the European Court of Justice.

Clients praise David’s no-nonsense, straight-talking approach, his ability to distil complex legal issues into simple, actionable commercial advice, and his intellectual rigour.

Before joining Fox Williams, David spent 6 years as a Senior Lawyer at the BBC and has expertise in copyright law and the media sector. David has a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and a Masters Degree from Oxford University.
