Marian is a directory ranked employment law partner with over 27 years of experience in helping clients in the financial services sector to manage their HR regulatory risk. Her expertise lies in advising on the employment law implications and challenges of regulatory regime requirements, including SMCR, advising on internal and external regulatory investigations, grievance and disciplinary processes (in particular in relation to non-financial misconduct). Her work also includes fitness and propriety, conduct rule breaches, regulatory references and senior level exits and negotiations. She has worked for many years with banks, insurers, private equity houses, hedge funds, investment managers, fintech and payments firms. She also has a strong practice in advising and supporting senior executives.

In addition to day-to-day employment law advice, she is experienced in managing complex and high-value litigation, having conducted a number of multi-strand claims for discrimination and whistleblowing. Marian is an experienced independent investigator who has acted on various investigations into alleged employee and director misconduct.

She speaks and writes regularly for HR and national press on employment law issues. Most recently Marian appeared on Radio 4 Today regarding the menopause enquiry. She also gave evidence to the Select Committee and acted as Special Advisor to the WESC in 2018.
