Mark has over 25 years’ employment law experience. He has wide experience acting for senior executives on their contracts and on complex, high value and often urgent high-profile departures, as well as advising employers on board issues and shareholder disputes. His extensive business experience at a senior level enables Mark to assist clients in finding pragmatic solutions to strategic boardroom issues.
He advises on all aspects of employment law, including redundancies, restrictive covenants and difficult issues relating to TUPE and outsourcing. He acts for many US companies on UK employment matters, often working directly with US management teams.
Mark has considerable experience of defending and bringing claims for unfair and wrongful dismissal in the employment tribunal and of supervising junior lawyers in undertaking this work for employers and employees.
His employer clients come from a number of business sectors, including financial services and professional services, and include a number of listed companies. His individual clients include chief executives and other board directors, investment bankers and other senior employees.
