I am an associate in Fox Williams’ dispute resolution team, acting for clients in relation to general commercial disputes, civil fraud, and insolvency matters.


Sam advises clients on a broad range of commercial dispute matters, acting for both claimants and defendants across a broad spectrum of industry sectors, including financial services and technology.  Her commercial litigation experience includes contractual disputes, shareholder and director disputes, partnership disputes, insolvency matters, and civil fraud.  She has also worked on international arbitration matters, internal investigations, and cross-border enforcement actions by regulatory and law enforcement authorities. Sam also works with the securities litigation team, advising institutional investors in third party funded group actions.

Before joining Fox Williams in April 2022, Sam was a trainee at an international law firm and qualified into its litigation group. She also previously worked in the financial crime compliance team of a tier one multinational investment bank.

Experience

  • Acted for Joint Administrators in connection with a complicated company administration involving multiple proprietary claims and made a successful Berkeley Applegate application.

  • Acted for a Claimant in a dispute arising from a corporate divorce and achieved a favourable settlement.

  • Acting for an LLP and its managing partner in High Court litigation, brought by a former partner (and their service company) challenging the validity of a third-party valuation from which the claimants’ member share in the LLP was to be calculated.

  • Acting for an LLP as the Defendant to litigation in the High Court brought by one of its former partners and their service company for unpaid deferred compensation, bonuses, and profit share.
