Sona is recognised for leading internal corporate investigations both in the UK and across a number of jurisdictions. She specialises in internal investigations concerning allegations of bribery and corruption; fraud; and market misconduct. Sona has been instructed in relation to a number of high profile corporate investigations by large multinational organisations across the financial services sector. Her instructions regularly require liaising with a number of stakeholders including regulators, law enforcement authorities and Government bodies and committees.
She has a particular interest and expertise in advising clients based in the fintech / reg tech sector who are facing particularly complex challenges in the current regulatory climate.

Acted for individuals in relation to the investigations and proceedings bought against Barclays Bank Plc and others relating to the 2008 capital raisings from the Qatar Investment Authority.
Acted for a large multinational corporate to conduct an internal investigation in relation to financial misconduct and misstatements.
Represented current and former senior executives of a retail bank participating in a high profile independent review being conducted by a High Court judge.
