Selling your Business and Listing on AIM

When selling your business or making your exit, there are two distinct stages; preparation and the sale or exit itself.

The preparation stage is important to avoid complications or disruptions that may jeopardize your plans. We can assist in getting your business ready for sale or exit. A legal due diligence exercise will help identify any problem areas that need to be rectified. A typical issue for an ebusiness is the ownership of a key software product. You may not own the software if you do not have a written assignment of copyright from any consultant or third party involved in developing the software. Also, the use of open source software within your proprietary software may result in you having to make available the source code of your proprietary software.

Once your business is ready, we will advise you on the most appropriate exit strategy whether it be a sale, merger, management buy out (MBO) or buy in (MBI) or listing on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM). Whatever your route, we will be able to advise you and guide you through the process.
