Julianna joined Fox Williams in April 2015 from a leading London set of barristers chambers at 5 Paper Buildings.  As a barrister Julianna developed particular expertise in the fields of multi-jurisdictional fraud, regulatory prosecutions and revenue issues.

Julianna now acts for commercial and financial services clients in respect of both contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues.   She specialises in the conduct of internal investigations, white collar crime defence representation and the delivery of complex regulatory advice.  Her forensic skill set also enables her to provide focussed, strategic and commercial advice which facilitates the efficient conduct of regulatory due-diligence exercises, compliance risk assessment and implementation projects, with a particular emphasis on the effective implementation of financial crime systems and controls. Julianna is a member of Fox Williams' Senior Managers & Certification Regime group and the firm's Senior Insurance Managers Regime group.

As a result of her experience she has a deep understanding of the diverse approaches adopted by the major UK law enforcement agencies.  Whilst practicing at the Bar she was instructed by the Serious Fraud Office, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, the Federation Against Copyright Theft and the Home Office, as well as private companies and individuals.  Julianna was also routinely instructed by regulatory bodies to commence private prosecutions and was appointed to the CPS Advocates Panel as a Level 2 prosecutor.

Julianna recently co-authored the UK chapter of Chambers first Global Practice Guide for FinTech. The
2018 guide provides expert legal commentary on key issues for businesses and covers the important developments in the most significant jurisdictions.

Prior to joining the Bar, Julianna worked for a year in the Corporate and Commercial department of a firm of Chartered Accountants.  She also completed an internship providing legal assistance to unrepresented prisoners on death row in the United States.
