Charlotte is an associate in Fox Williams’ corporate department. She has a breadth of experience advising on a range of corporate matters with a focus on private company M&A, including domestic and cross-border transactions and advising both buy-side and sell-side. Her other experience includes advising on private equity transactions, banking/debt finance transactions, shareholder disputes, shareholder activist and corporate governance matters and general corporate advisory matters, such as shareholders’ agreements, joint ventures, restructurings and fundraisings/investments.

Charlotte advises a diverse portfolio of clients, from start-ups to private equity funds to multinationals and which span a variety of sectors, including technology, publishing and media, travel, food and drink, leisure, education, fashion and natural resources.

Charlotte’s recent work includes:

  • advising a design and branding consultancy group on the disposal of its majority stake in a Hong Kong subsidiary to a multinational communication services group;
  • advising a private equity fund on its further investment into a data and information events and media company;
  • advising the principal shareholders of an ‘ad-tech’ company on the disposal of their shares to a Norwegian publicly listed company;
  • advising a FinTech brokerage start-up company on a shareholder dispute;
  • advising on a shareholder activist matter relating to a publicly listed company in the oil & gas industry;
  • advising the incoming management team on a buy-in management buy-out of an invoice finance and asset-based lending provider;
  • advising a location data technology company on an investment in the company by a number of institutional investors;
  • advising the shareholders of an investment management technology company on the disposal of their shares to a US-listed technology group; and
  • advising a fund manager providing finance in the charitable/social sector on several of its debt finance transactions.

Charlotte graduated from the University of Warwick with an honours degree in Law and Business Studies and was awarded a partial scholarship to undertake an LLM in International Economic Law. She completed her training with Fox Williams and subsequently qualified into the corporate department in September 2014.
