Fox Williams acted for Restaurants Etc. (Soho) Limited in connection with the opening of a new restaurant, HIX in Brewer Street, Soho, London.
The transaction comprised a £600,000 investment from investors and bank loans and the acquisition of the new business premises from the Administrators of the former tenants.
Mark Hix formed Restaurants Etc. in January 2008 and together with business partner Ratnesh Bagdai, Restaurants Etc. launched its first two restaurants, Hix Oyster and Chop House in London’s Smithfield Market and Hix Oyster and Fish House in Lyme Regis, in April and May 2009. Both restaurants have this week been listed as the Top 100 Restaurants for The National Restaurants Awards 2009.
Paul Taylor led the Fox Williams team and was assisted by Sharon O’Donnell, an associate in the corporate department. Elizabeth Ruff, a partner in the real estate department, acted on the property side of the transaction. Latham & Watkins LLP, Kennedys and Optima Legal all acted for various parties in the transactions.
