Business know-how to carry you through the coming seasons

Our seminar this year will shine the spotlight on the challenges facing a growing business, how to protect your market position and brand, what you can do to stop infringers, and a look at inspirational business growth in the fashion world.

We also welcome Gareth Coombs from the Cambridge Strategy Centre who will answer the question of whether Real Madrid could ever afford Victoria Beckham and Hanna Marie Hutchison of HMH Couture who will walk us down the exciting yet challenging road from setting up her own business to dressing stars for the red carpet.

Our panel of experts at this year’s Fashion Law seminar will address:

Why Real Madrid could not afford Victoria Beckham
The challenge of leadership in growing fashion businesses and why size may not matter.

Catch them if you can – how to protect your brand from infringements
Infringements are very damaging to a brand but infringers are often difficult to bring to book.  We will look at what can you do to stop them and give practical tips taken from real life examples of how to do it.

A valued relationship means more than just being a good bank
A case study of how RBS have helped a client to grow.

Employees behaving badly – how to protect your brand
Whether attracting damaging headlines outside work, or trying to set up a competing business at your expense, employees often cause headaches for employers. We will look at some of the key contractual provisions that employers must have to enable them to
protect their position and their brand.

A designer’s story – from Hanna Marie Hutchison to HMH Couture
