Fox Williams advised Vela Software Group (“Vela”) and its subsidiary Petrosys, on the acquisition of Interica. Interica is a company well known for its industry leading archive solution PARS™ and has been providing information management software and consultancy services in oil and gas for over 20 years. The transaction completed on 22 February 2020.
Petrosys’ ethos of allowing acquired companies to retain their individual identities and cultures will allow Interica to remain an independent and responsive provider for data management software and services. The Petrosys approach to agile and innovative software development in collaboration with clients and partners will complement Interica’s long term evolution. Completion of the transaction will enable a new phase of growth and geographic reach for Interica, providing access to a broader shared client base and pool of specialist expert knowledge.
Working closely with the Vela in-house team, the Fox Williams team was led by Head of Corporate Richie Clark, principally assisted by corporate associate Priya Mattu and tax director Joanne Varia.
Richie Clark said: “We were delighted to help the Vela Group acquire Interica and bring together two globally recognised data management brands.”
