Fox Williams advised tranScrip Partners LLP on a substantial investment by private equity firm Palatine Private Equity.

Fox Williams advised tranScrip on all aspects of the sale, debt and equity documents required to implement the new group structure, in which existing partners of tranScrip retain an equity stake, as well as drawing on the expertise of tax, intellectual property, data protection and employment law specialists within the firm.

tranScrip is a global leader in the Specialist Service Sector, supporting pharma & biotech companies and investors from Europe, North America and Asia. tranScrip’s senior in-house multi-disciplinary teams are unique, with high-level expertise and deep functional competencies which deliver both strategic leadership and operational support to clients, covering strategic development, medical, regulatory, drug safety and commercial services across a multitude of therapy areas from pre-clinical through to commercialisation.

Fox Williams partners Daniel Sutherland and Douglas Preece led the team on the investment, supported by senior associate Bethany Silkin and associate Anjali Aravindhan (both in the corporate team). The team was also supported by partner Emma Bailey and tax director Joanne Varia (tax), partner Nigel Miller and associate Ben Nolan (data protection), senior associate Tom Pennington-Hare and associate Ed Livingstone (employment) and associate Bhavin Bhatt (finance).

Daniel Sutherland, partner, commented “Having advised tranScrip since its formation in 2008, it was particularly a pleasure to advise on this investment, which builds on their success in supporting pharma and biotech companies and will help them as they enter the next phase of growth.”

Flic Gabbay, managing partner at tranScrip said: “Fox Williams have supported tranScrip since 2008 throughout the successful growth of the organisation. We are particularly grateful for the insight and exceptionally hard work of Daniel Sutherland, Douglas Preece and Bethany Silkin and the Fox Williams team on the achievement of this investment.
