The Bank of England, Prudential Regulation Authority and Financial Conduct Authority recently published a Discussion Paper, “Diversity and inclusion in the financial sector – working together to drive change”. You probably saw the headlines, read about the “ban” on references to “Chinese walls”, and moved on.
That would be a reasonable response to some of these papers. But it could be a mistake on this occasion. Why?
