At our travel briefing on Thursday 16 September we discussed what lessons could be learned from Covid-19.

Partners Rhys Griffiths and Lucy England, and associates Phyllis Acheampong and Anna Tindall focused on how best to make decisions to comply with travel regulations arising from the uncertainty around the pandemic. Drawing on their experiences of the last 18 months, they discussed issues such as:

  • The regulatory “red lines” and “grey areas” for travel companies
  • Defending enforcement action by the CMA
  • Managing legal compliance with the risks of insolvency
  • The use of adverse press as an enforcement tool by regulators and other stakeholders
