Chambers and Partners has ranked Fox Williams as a leading firm in its 2024 legal directory. 25 of the firm’s lawyers are ranked in 15 of our practice areas across the UK, Global and FinTech guides.
Highlights from this year’s directory launch include a new ranking for the firm in Fraud: Civil and new mentions for Private Equity: Venture Capital Investment and Group Litigation: Claimant in Potential. Fox Williams has been promoted a band in Employment: Employer and maintains its Band 1 ranking in Partnership and Travel: Regulatory & Commercial.
Where Fox Williams maintained its Band 1 ranking in Partnership and Travel: Regulatory & Commercial, teams were praised for “sound judgement, are always responsive and have no hesitancy in expressing their opinions” and were acknowledged as a “pre-eminent firm of travel lawyers. They’re totally professional and the best at what they do.”
Within Partnership, Gavin Foggo maintains a Band 1 ranking, Daniel Sutherland maintains Band 2, Aron Pope Band 4, and Ed Livingstone maintains Associates to Watch recognition.
Within Travel, Rhys Griffiths maintains a Band 1 ranking, Farina Band 2 and Phyllis Acheampong Associates to Watch.
The Fraud: Civil has been promoted to Band 5 this year with Gavin Foggo also promoted in the individual rankings. The team were described as “a really excellent team – very hands-on, very strategic and very good at working out what is the best advice to give the client, both commercially and strategically.”
Fox Williams performed well in Financial Services, ranking Band 3, with Sona Ganatra (Band 4), Peter Wright (Band 3), Chris Finney (Band 5), and James Carlton (Band 3) all maintaining their rankings, plus new recognition for Sebastian Sayer.
Real Estate maintains its Band 4 ranking, with Liz Ruff maintaining a Band 1 ranking and Phillip Hope a Band 3 ranking.
The firm is proud of its new recognition in securities litigation within the new specialist category Group Litigation for Chambers 2024. Andrew Hill newly ranks (Band 3).
In International Arbitration the firm is proud to have been recognised for another year and feature in the Highly Regarded table for 2024. Across this practice area, Ben Giaretta and Peter Ashford maintain their rankings, with Peter Ashford also newly recognised in the International Arbitration: Arbitrators section.
In employment, the team were recognised for “always looking at the commercial requirements and explain[ing] the risk profile of a transaction well. Their attention to detail and focus on understanding the commercial outcome required is very good.” Joanna Chatterton Employment: Employer celebrates a band promotion. Six individuals were recognised across Employment: Employer and Employment: Senior Executives, each of them maintaining their rankings.
Chambers’ rankings follow a successful year of recognition in Legal 500 and The Times Best Law Firms rankings.
