Specialist tech and FinTech partner Chris Hill joins Fox Williams’ commerce and technology team. Chris joins the firm from Deloitte Legal, having previously led the fintech practice at boutique technology firm Kemp Little.
Chris is recognised as one of the UK’s leading fintech lawyers and brings a wealth of experience in advising FinTechs and institutions on a wide range of issues, including technology contracting, payments, software, data, IP licensing, AI, and open banking.
He is known as a thought leader and a vocal supporter of financial services innovation, representing start-ups, growth companies, and major institutions. Chris boasts a distinguished track record of working on technology contracts and regulatory issues both within and outside the financial services sector, specialising in helping clients navigate legal issues and partnerships as they look to innovate.

Chris joins former Deloitte Legal colleagues who have recently joined Fox Williams, namely Richard Aitchison (legal director) and Stewart Cook (senior associate) who will be led by Chris as part of the existing FinTech team, bolstering the financial services, and commerce and technology teams. This reinforces Fox Williams’ position as a preeminent law firm in the FinTech field.
