Fox Williams has advised the majority shareholders of MyTutor, the UK’s leading online tutoring platform, on its sale to US-based education technology company IXL Learning Inc.
IXL Learning have notable companies such as Rosetta Stone, Wyzant and Teachers Pay Teachers in their portfolio, and the acquisition of MyTutor strengthens its presence in the UK edtech sector. MyTutor, co-founded by Bertie Hubbard and James Grant, has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most trusted tutoring platforms, delivering personalised online lessons to secondary school pupils.
The Fox Williams team was led by corporate partner Mary Elliott, supported by senior associate Chien-Wei Lui and associate James Coulthard.
The firm advised Bertie Hubbard, James Grant, SEEK Growth Nominees PTY Ltd, The Income & Growth VCT Plc and Mobeus Income & Growth VCT Plc.
