Fox Williams continues to win high praise from the independent legal directories. The “firm that definitely puts its clients first”* was acknowledged in a total of 29 areas.

In Chambers 2019, the firm has sustained its top band ranking for Partnership: Large International Structures, with Tina Williams recognised as a ‘Star Individual.’ Chambers notes the team “have got the big picture and know the details. They inspire confidence”. Earlier this year Tina was also recognised in The Legal 500’s inaugural Hall of Fame, together with Head of Employment and HR Law, Jane Mann.

Chambers ranks the firm in nine more departments, including Corporate/M&A: Lower Mid-Market, Employment: Employer, Employment: Senior Executive, Real Estate: Lower Mid-Market, Commercial Contracts, Financial Services: Contentious Regulatory (Individuals) and Financial Services: Contentious Regulatory (Corporates).

Sixteen of the firm’s lawyers were ranked with Gavin Foggo, Liz Ruff and Tina Williams all recognised as top rank in their fields. Newly promoted Partner Mary Elliott is noted as ‘up and coming’.

In The Legal 500 2019, published last month, the firm is ranked in 19 practice areas** and has retained its number one ranking for each of Corporate and commercial: partnership, and Corporate and commercial: M&A smaller deals up to £50m. Tina Williams, Jane Mann and Gavin Foggo are each recognised as leading individuals.

Client commentary in The Legal 500 includes “Fantastic Fox Williams LLP provides great response times, brilliantly focused advice and cost-efficient delivery”. The firm’s tier one M&A team is ‘noted for its expertise in financial services, technology and natural resources’. The top ranked Partnership department is commended for being ‘a fantastic firm with all-round strength in the partnership area’.
