16 teams will compete in London, March 2020
The fifth Fox Williams Pre-Moot will be held for the second time in association with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. The Pre-Moot will be preceded by a panel debate for practitioners and team coaches, hosted by Fox Williams, on the afternoon of Friday 28 February 2020.
Last year’s Pre-Moot saw a very close contest, with the University of Bern team emerging victorious with the Lomonosov Moscow State University team awarded the runner-up prize.
Peter Ashford, partner and head of international arbitration at Fox Williams, will host the Pre-Moot, together with members of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, prior to attending as a judge at the Vis Moot in Vienna in April 2020.
Peter Ashford said: “We encourage all teams interested in participating in this event to apply for a place (places are limited) and take the opportunity to practise their skills before panels of experienced practitioners. As with previous years we expect strong interest from university teams in Europe and further afield.”
