This new book is a guide for those who provide or seek litigation funding, as well as for anyone who wishes to understand the litigation funding process and to avoid pitfalls.

Fox Williams securities litigation partner Andrew Hill and associate Anisha Patel have contributed a sub-chapter about class actions within chapter nine, entitled ‘Types of litigation and arbitration that attract and are attractive to litigation finance’.

Andrew and Anisha, working alongside Charlie Morris, chief investment officer, EMEA & APAC at Woodsford Litigation Funding, wrote the sub-chapter about group actions and funding in jurisdictions including England and Wales, the United States and Australia.

Published by Bloomsbury Professional and edited by  (Steven Friel, CEO of Woodsford), the book considers the international development of the law and practice of high value litigation and arbitration funding. It is targeted to litigation and private equity lawyers, litigation funders, and investors such as hedge funds and sovereign wealth funds.

Andrew Hill said, “It’s very exciting to see The Law and Business of Litigation Finance published. The book is an excellent guide with contributions from a range of experts who share their knowledge. We were delighted with the invitation from Woodsford  to contribute and it was a pleasure to work with my colleague Anisha Patel and with Charlie Morris on the class actions sub-chapter.”
