Sometimes it helps to go back to basics. Every travel business should understand the ATOL regime in the UK – who it applies to, when it applies and what compliance looks like. In this webinar, we discussed the basics of ATOL.

The session led by partners in our travel team, Rhys Griffiths and Lucy England, guided our audience through:

  • what sort of travel sales are caught
  • the availability of exemptions
  • issues arising from cross-border sales

We were joined by a guest speaker, Jake Cohen from travel accountancy firm, White Hart Associates. Jake considered the financial reporting aspects of the ATOL regime as well as providing us with some practical insights of holding an ATOL. Prior to joining White Hart Associates, Jake spent 14 years working for the ATOL team at the Civil Aviation Authority.
