On behalf of the Company of Human Resource Professionals, we are delighted to host a fireside conversation between Jane Mann, our employment partner at Fox Williams LLP and newly elected to the Court of The Company of HR Professionals, and diversity consultant, broadcaster and author Simon Fanshawe OBE, who was recently appointed a Fellow of the Company.

Chaired by the Master of the Company, John Renz, Jane and Simon will be discussing the challenges of D&I within the professional workplace. Simon has long been involved in campaigns for equality and social change and was a co-founder of Stonewall and of the Kaleidoscope Trust. He will bring his present-day experience as co-founder at Diversity by Design, which supports organisations to truly diversify their senior people. Jane advises boards and members of the c-suite on the legal aspects of wide-ranging, current HR issues that impact on their organisation. She provided witness evidence to the Women and Equalities Parliamentary Select Committee in January 2019.

This year Simon was voted the second most influential thinker in 2022 by HR Magazine for his work and his achievements on diversity. His latest book “The Power of Difference – where the complexities of diversity and inclusion meet practical solutions”, published in December 2021, was nominated as business book of the year. Simon is on the board of Powerful Women and chairs Hexagon Housing.

Jane and Simon will share views on the importance of a business strategy that’s driven by bringing diversity to the organisation, and the richness, and challenges, that can emerge.
