London, 1 October 2024 – Fox Williams LLP today expands its partnership by 8% and becomes a 50 partner firm for the first time as it welcomes 4 lateral hires. This latest growth milestone brings the firm’s total partnership increase to 13% for 2024, reflecting Fox Williams’ continued commitment to bolstering its expertise across core practices, including employment, investigations, financial services, technology, and real estate.

The newly appointed partners bring deep expertise in high-growth areas such as regulatory investigations, structured finance, employment litigation, and property law, positioning the firm for continued success.

New partners joining Fox Williams:

  • Marian Bloodworth is recognised for her expertise, advising on the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR) and employment law implications of regulatory requirements, and adds substantial experience to the team in managing high-stakes investigations and handling whistleblowing and discrimination claims. Marian’s practice also includes representing senior executives, further enhancing the firm’s employment law offering.
  • David Williams joins with over 27 years of experience in employment law, specialising in advising growth-focused technology businesses. Formerly a Managing Partner and Head of Employment in previous firms, David is a trusted advisor on complex matters such as mergers and acquisitions, board restructures, and discrimination cases, strengthening Fox Williams’ capabilities in this fast-growing sector.
  • Ed Bellamy brings extensive experience in securitisation and structured finance, advising investors and stakeholders on complex financial transactions across asset classes, credit funds, banks, and alternative lenders on real estate finance transactions. Ed’s expertise in handling intricate finance transactions will enhance the firm’s financial services team, offering clients innovative financing solutions and strategic advice on both transactional and regulatory challenges.
  • Alison Ramsey adds a wealth of expertise in investment and commercial property law, advising national and international clients on high-value transactions across a wide range of sectors. Her significant experience in landlord and tenant matters and property finance will provide Fox Williams’ real estate clients with comprehensive legal support, particularly in asset management and high-stakes investment acquisitions and disposals.

The increase in Fox Williams’ partnership underscores the firm’s strategic focus on growth to meet and adapt to client demand. Earlier this year, the firm strengthened its financial services and technology teams with lateral hires, Chris Hill and Omar Salem. This latest expansion further enhances its capacity to serve clients in complex, highly regulated markets.

Senior partner, Gavin Foggo commented: “We’re really pleased to welcome Marian, David, Ed and Alison to Fox Williams. They each bring a wealth of experience and a proven track record in their respective fields. Their exceptional backgrounds not only elevate our existing capabilities but also reinforce our position and reputation in the legal sector. This growth aligns with our philosophy of investing in deep sector and practice area knowledge to deliver the strategic counsel our clients need to thrive.”
