Fox Williams has been named as one of ten finalists for Law Firm of the Year: The Independents at The Lawyer Awards 2025, recognising the firm’s continued growth and high-quality client experience.
The shortlisting follows a year of significant progress for the firm, including key lateral hires, complex, high-profile client matters, and increased demand across its core practice areas. In 2024, the firm and its partnership grew with senior additions in employment, financial services and regulatory teams.

Earlier this year, the Fox Williams’ employment team was also shortlisted at the Chambers UK Awards, while the intellectual property team was shortlisted across four categories at the Managing IP Awards. Individuals have also been recognised. Management partner, Mary Elliott, was ‘Highly Commended’ for Law Firm Leader of the Year – National/Regional Law Firm at the Women & Diversity in Law Awards, and financial services partner, Peter Finch, was recognised as a ‘Stand-Out Lawyer’ by in the Thomson Reuters.
The Lawyer Awards is one of the legal industry’s most prestigious events, celebrating excellence across private practice and in-house legal teams. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 17 June 2025.
